Music has always been a passion for this Chicago-born artist, who wrote their first rap in second grade and always loved being creative—whether writing essays, crafting short films, or performing lyrics. But it wasn’t until moving to Los Angeles that their career truly took off. “Sometimes, you have to leave your hometown to be appreciated,” they admit. LA, however, came with its challenges. “There’s a lot of smoke and mirrors. People promise to help but leave you doing most of the work. You really have to find your core circle and trust in them.”

Their creative process reflects their dynamic personality. “I let the beat guide me. Most of the time, I don’t write anything down—I record in the moment. It feels more natural that way.” Their music spans genres, from Afrobeat hits like “Come Thru” to nostalgic tracks like “Body,” their biggest success to date. “I make music for every mood—relationships, breakups, or just having fun. I want people to feel what I’m feeling and relate to it.”

Time spent with stars like Quavo, French Montana, and Compton Menace has also shaped their journey. “Quavo told me to be true to myself. Watching him in the studio showed me you don’t have to try to be anyone else.” A standout moment came when Quavo freestyled to their song “Incredible” during a private session. “That validation meant everything to me.”

Their definition of success is simple: “Making a living doing what you love. If you can provide for your family, travel, and enjoy life, you’ve made it.” With their latest single “Body” and upcoming album Purple Dreams, they’re focused on leaving a legacy of joy, connection, and meaningful stories. Their advice to aspiring artists? “Jump out of your comfort zone. Take risks. And always be yourself. The day you quit might’ve been the day you got your big break.”
